Overview

Do you want to sell for one of IDG’s fastest growing brands? Are you a hunter who is passionate about building new relationships?  We are seeking a competitive and highly motivated Inside Sales Manager to join our sales team to hunt for prospective clients who are some of the most successful CIOs and senior IT executives in the U.S. The Inside Sales Manager will be able to have tremendous creativity as a seller and lead generator. This role will focus on both selling services to new C-level and Senior IT executives in a consultative fashion and working with the senior sales team in supporting them to grow revenue.  You can expect a stable yet fast-paced work environment along with a culture that rewards, recognizes, and respects achievement. 

 

The ideal candidate for the Inside Sales Manager role will be a highly motivated sales professional, looking to hunt for new business and leverage existing relationships to increase sales. This person will also have a sales style that is consultative and assertive, as well as a professional communication style and presence that is well received by corporate executives. This person will also be a team player who understands that they need to build a solid foundation and sales pipeline for future success.

Responsibilities

  • Aggressively pursue sales opportunities
  • Grow both new and existing business for assigned accounts
  • Resourceful, creative and persevering in initiating and advancing the sale cycle from prospecting, presenting, customizing proposals, setting up outreach campaigns
  • Support senior outside sales staff with revenue growth and pre and post-sale delivery
  • Connect disparate ideas and data in the prospecting and sales processes
  • Continually monitors and reports on KPI’s and other sales metrics to senior sales management

Qualifications

  • Have a "hunter" mentality that proactively seeks opportunities
  • 2+ years of demonstrable B2B consultative sales or sales support success, ideally in a role requiring prospecting, cold-calling, and bringing on new business
  • Inside sales or sales support experience with high-level prospects (VP and C-Level)
  • Deeply motivated to achieve and exceed set sales targets
  • Strengths in relationship building, including the ability to quickly and handily build rapport with current and prospective clients
  • Excellent phone skills coupled with the comfort level and desire to hunt for prospective clients
  • Superior organizational, analytical, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-honed and detailed communication skills including written, verbal and advanced listening skills
  • A competitive yet collegial work ethic that meets the standards of the sales team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • BS/BA required
  • Salesforce.com experience a plus.
  • Experience in customizing and selling services preferred
