Overview

 The Digital Production Manager role would suit driven individuals from a digital/agency/production background who can support the system of creative development and production in our New York Studio.

 

We are looking for an experienced individual to join our growing digital studio as Production Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing the portfolio of creative and multichannel products & projects that the branded content division of IDG delivers for all the biggest technology clients in the world. This is a great role for someone looking to add some big names to their production management and creative studio experience.

 

Where the role sits within the company, team, department and wider business

The Production Manager role is assigned to work for IDG’s branded content division, as part of the Client Solutions team, with a wider responsibility for communicating with the creative studio, content, social, research teams and most regularly, the Program Managers, The Program Management team plays a crucial role in the wider business to interact directly with clients and support both the US and International operations.

 

Who the role reports to, and other key interactions

The Production Manager will report directly to the Head of Creative Strategy, and will become a key member within the organization to drive and sustain a center of marketing excellence. The successful candidate will also be expected to communicate with Program Managers, Creatives, Producers, Program Architects, Directors and other staff where appropriate and as projects dictate.

 

Location and travel requirements

The Production Manager will be based out of IDG’s New York Office on Madison Avenue. Please note IDG is a global business and travel to Europe and the rest of the world is a possibility to ensure consistent implementation of production processes globally.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee the creative development and delivery of multi-channel including digital creative including social, display, websites and content/print/marketing collateral, film, webcasts, podcasts and photography – content marketing and communications projects from brief through to delivery
  • Work with the Head of Creative Strategy and Creative Lead to maintain strategic overview of the portfolio of all projects and their requirements, ensuring appropriate planning and resource is allocated to each project
  • Co-ordinate a complex set and large volume of projects with a Program Management Team based in the US and International markets
  • Lead on the development and maintenance of efficient processes and systems which enable the production of high quality creative solutions and materials to brief, on time and budget
  • Working with other key team members to prioritise and schedule jobs and resources to ensure internal and external stakeholders are satisfied with the result
  • Working directly with delivery teams and program managers on approvals and amends of design, artwork, mock-ups, digital properties and documents
  • Monitor and manage budget spending with a team of internal staff, external freelancers and agency suppliers for all projects
  • Adhering to quality control procedures for all processes of production

Qualifications

To be successful you will have a proven track record in production management in a creative or marketing environment. Financial awareness and budget management experience are also essential as is good purchasing and negotiating skills. You will also have working knowledge of delivery in different formats e.g. film, print and digital. In addition, you will have:

  • A proven track record of working on a wide variety of complex briefs from a variety of clients
  • Good diplomatic and negotiation skills, combining tact and toughness
  • Familiarity with the production process for brand programs, marketing content, collateral and digital
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, to build working relationships with colleagues and clients
  • The motivation to work on their own, but as part of an international team, and to meet deadlines
  • Production management
