Overview

IDG’s Marketing team is growing! We are seeking a Marketing Designer with exceptional design skills and a passion for marketing to join our team. IDG is the world’s leading technology media, data and marketing services company influencing the most powerful tech buyers in the world. For more than 50 years and with a footprint in 147 countries, IDG helps our customers make the smartest technology purchasing decisions.

You will serve as IDG’s corporate visual storyteller, creating web graphics and print collateral that best reflect the IDG global brand. You will design and produce graphic assets and develop compelling visual materials that communicate IDG’s corporate mission, vision, and strategy to both external and internal audiences. We are looking for an energetic person with attention to detail and a mastery of typography, color, composition and design layout. This position will be based in either Framingham, MA or New York, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Graphic design, critical thinking and communication skills necessary to help develop and translate ideas into impactful visual designs
  • Create and maintain a visual assets database of images, logos, infographics available for use by business units worldwide
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales team for creative execution and template development of sales support, event, content marketing and research materials

Qualifications

  • 3 + years working as a designer in a marketing environment
  • An exceptional portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions
  • Ability to manage and deliver against several initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability to hold a strong design vision while remaining collaborative and open to new ideas
  • Must be able to independently develop multiple unique creative concepts against an assignment
  • Exhibit solid understanding of fundamental graphic design concepts with a solid knowledge and use of Adobe Creative Suite and HTML
  • Experience working in Microsoft Office with particular skillset in PowerPoint
  • Excellent project management skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple assignments from conception to completion on deadline
  • Experience collaborating with colleagues and/or agencies in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Must be self-motivated, deadline-driven and able to work both independently and collaboratively on multiple projects at a time
  • Understanding of core brand design concepts with ability to manage the corporate brand consistency
  • Creativity, flexibility and attention to detail a must
  • Team player that enjoys collaboration
