Overview

IDG is looking for a strategist to join our award-winning team known for creating world-class campaigns & programs for the largest technology companies in the world.

The Manager/Sr. Manager, Digital Strategist will fill a highly-coveted position in IDG Strategic Marketing Services, a marketing and services group that works across every business unit in the company. He/She will have access to IDG’s comprehensive catalog of media, data and services products. This includes but is not limited to: 1st party audience data, a custom research group, a team of brilliant content strategists, creative design and audio video studios, a premiere social and analytics team, top-tier industry influencers and a database of 40M+ technology decision makers.

Responsibilities

  • U.S. Program Architecture - Delight our clients by creating and presenting brilliant strategic marketing campaigns & programs that drive business results. Oversee ideation, strategy, architecture and innovation from concept to point of customer. Output of work and team will be measured in revenue generated from IDG.

Qualifications

  • Experience - Minimum of 6-8 years of digital marketing at an agency, media or marketing services company.
  • Big Idea Generation – Experience creating impactful marketing concepts in response to industry trends and client objectives.
  • Creative & Commercial – A balanced set of thinking skills from both sides of the brain.
  • LeadershipStrong leadership and critical thinking skills; ability to manage up and down.
  • Audience Driven Approach – Deep enough understanding of the modern marketing- Experience driving engagement and building brands across all channels – digital, experiential and traditional.
  • Confidence & Poise – Ability to present ideas, listen, brainstorm, handle tough questions and respond as an effective representative of IDG. Comfortable working with senior level clients.
  • Analytical Skills – Experience analyzing market data, determine KPI/ROI metrics and provide strategic insights that map program performance against goals.
  • Financial Prudence – Prudence in balancing ideas and sales with budgets to ensure programs are world-class experiences and net positives for company and client.
  • Entrepreneurial – Thrive and move projects forward in a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and high-energy environment.
  • PassionContinued desire to want to grow as a strategist, always maintaining awareness of new marketing trends and teaching others around you.

This position can be based in either our Boston or San Francisco office locations. Some travel is required.
