Overview

IDG has an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager to join the IDG Corporate Tax department.  Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Corporate Tax, this position will assist in the coordination of IDG's federal and state tax compliance and planning effort.  Includes overseeing the preparation of a consolidated federal and multi-state income tax returns, information reporting on foreign entities, foreign tax credit and unitary filings.  Will also be responsible for year-end tax provision, coordination of IRS and state/local audits, ongoing planning and research and business unit consultation.  Will also be involved in evaluating impacts of tax reform.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Company’s tax compliance process, including review of annual federal, state and local income tax returns, extensions/quarterly estimated tax payments and sales and use tax returns
  • Coordinate and review the annual income tax provision and tax related balance sheet accounts including preparation of tax footnote and review by external financial auditors
  • Manage the US federal, state and local income tax audits
  • Work with senior management and third-party services providers
  • Assist with tax planning and special projects
  • Knowledge of systems associate with tax compliance (ex. Gosystems, Microsoft Dynamics GP)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of experience
  • CPA and /or Masters in Taxation preferred
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Strong multitasking skills and organizational skills including the ability to prioritize work flow
  • Ability to manage, mentor and motivate tax team members
  • Compliance experience with corporate, consolidated federal and unitary/combined state income tax returns
  • Experience preparing tax provisions for financial statements
  • Strong communication skills
