Overview

IDG Events, producer of some of the nation’s most respected events for technology executives, is seeking an Event Content Specialist to join our fast-paced events team. Our Event Content Specialist works closely with our content development team — and our broader events group — to manage speakers and agendas for assigned events from start to finish. As an Event Content Specialist, you’ll work on multiple events at once, with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with event content leads to onboard presenters and manage what’s expected of them.
  • Interacting extensively with presenters and their handlers leading up to the event and onsite.
  • Coordinating the workflow of slide presentations, conference materials and AV requirements before, during and after events.
  • Managing the speaker and agenda pages of event websites.
  • Assisting in building and leveraging awards programs related to various events.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in a business setting, preferably related to business media and/or event production.
  • Exposure to or knowledge of event production as well as a willingness and aptitude to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A desire to wear many different hats on an as needed basis when other team members require an extra set of hands.
  • An outgoing and self-motivated approach to work.
  • Customer-centric attitude with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships in a spirited, dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; time management and organizational skills; a keen attention to detail and comfort with technology so as to learn new applications easily.
