Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative marketer that loves to write to join our multi-discipline marketing team. This individual will play a leading role in content development to engage tech marketers on our website and through demand gen, building a daily newsletter to share tech and marketing trends, and growing our social media presence. Overall, you will be an integral part of planning and executing marketing plans for brand awareness and demand generation for IDG’s multiple media, data and marketing services product lines.

Responsibilities

  • Create and edit content to engage tech marketers
  • Facilitate the onboarding of video interview participants as well as distribution and promotion of the final video
  • Manage IDG’s social media channels, promoting relevant content and engaging with our customers and prospects
  • Generate a daily newsletter about tech and marketing trends as well as grow the newsletter subscriber base
  • Produce compelling powerpoint presentations with a strong narrative
  • Create and maintain schedules and manage projects from inception to completion
  • Assist in brainstorming and developing ideas for creative marketing campaigns
  • Undertake individual tasks within a marketing plan as assigned
  • Ensure consistent branding and brand integrity throughout all materials and messaging

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree required, preferably in marketing or communications.
  • The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years related experience as a marketing specialist or similar role
  • Exceptional communication, writing, and editing skills (business and creative)
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines, and be extremely organized and detail oriented
  • Able to work collaboratively and independently on assigned projects
  • Big picture thinking and question formulation that leads to a full understanding how individual actions fit into overall project, dept. and company goals, to ensure final results deliver on goals
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office (word, powerpoint and excel) and experience with social media required, and familiarity with design programs (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), marketing automation (Hubspot), content management tools (Word Press) helpful
  • Must have a positive, outgoing personality, be customer centric, and a highly energetic and creative person
