  • Overview

    The Product Management Specialist is part of our product management team.  This person will monitor the effectiveness of key application and product features, troubleshoot issues along with internal staff, and support the planning and development of new or improved product features with analysis and internal user testing.


    The role operates within cross-functional teams composed of engineers, project managers, subject matter experts and.  The Product Management Specialist will work closely with senior product management team members to ensure delivery of our product roadmap and ensure tactical backlog prioritization is aligned to business objectives.

    • Conduct basic research and analysis as directed to help develop requirements.
    • Assist senior product management staff by grooming the backlog.
    • Promptly triage issues and minor feature requests created by IDG staff.
    • Directly manage the resolution of urgent product issues in collaboration with engineering.
    • Collaborate directly with engineers, QA, UX, and other staff as assigned.
    • Review analytics for indications of product health and measure the effectiveness of newly deployed product improvements.
    • Help conduct internal user acceptance testing (UAT) and training and maintain product documentation.


    • 1-2  years professional experience -- preferably working alongside software or product development teams.
    • Demonstrates solid reasoning for prioritization and decision making.
    • Confident oral presentation and clear written communication skill.
    • A curious and deductive personality with a proactive approach to problem solving.
    • Ability to transition back and forth across contexts and projects frequently.
    • Previous experience working with JIRA, Confluence, Google Analytics or similar tools and/or creating written product requirements and artifacts is a bonus.
