    IDG Communications has an exciting opportunity for a Database Marketing Manager in our Digital Account Services (DAS) group which supports the technology needs of our editorial, events, marketing and lead/demand generation departments. 

    Responsibilities

    The Database Marketing Manager will work with the Director of Digital Account Services to support IDG Communications’ email marketing strategy. Key responsibilities include: 

    • Managing external customer inbox of responses to email marketing campaigns (unsubscribe requests, email change requests, etc)
    • Manage commercial analytics and configure, test, launch, and optimize marketing campaigns and programs (e.g. email, event pre-show and follow-up, lead routing, lead scoring, data quality management, etc.).
    • Drive digital revenue for demand generation campaigns by providing user support for email sending applications and customer databases
    • Working with outside departments and vendors to coordinate projects and tasks related to data quality and receiving new data
    • Define business metrics and develop automated reports and dashboards on email marketing and database
    • Work with attitudinal and behavioral data to derive insights, identify strategic solutions, and present them as a coherent story to all stakeholders

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • SQL experience
    • 3 years’ experience in email marketing
    • Can easily interpret business needs and understand how to troubleshoot, demonstrate initiative, learn new processes
    • Able to work independently and make decisions based on changing priorities
    • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
    • Superior time management and organizational skills
    • Strong data management and analytical abilities
    • Create a segmentation strategy to cross-sell products, nurture new leads into the funnel and increase lifetime customer value
    • Strong willingness and ability to work collaboratively with a team
    • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Programs
    • Stays up-to-date on latest trends in technology, development, websites, and competitor activity.
    • Drive and initiate the training to team members and staff on new tools and best practices
    • Tableau and/or Adestra experience
