    IDG Events has an exciting opportunity for a Registration Coordinator.

     

    The Registration Coordinator is an important role on our audience recruitment team, often creating the first impression our attendees have of our events. From building web pages to analyzing registrations and performing critical customer service functions in the office and onsite at our events, core responsibilities span event registration and extend to other critical processes to support the overall goals of the team. The candidate must be extremely well organized and have superior customer service skills and a proven knack for learning new systems.

    Responsibilities

    • Building/maintaining registration web pages and handling customer service calls/emails
    • Processing payments and managing databases
    • Overseeing the onsite registration process and customer service desk at select events throughout the year
    • Supporting the day to day execution of event marketing campaigns by testing and deploying emails and updating/maintaining event websites
    • Scheduling and executing all pre and post show customer communications

    Qualifications

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Friendly and professional demeanor to greet our event guests
    • Superior organizational skills, ability to work independently, strong attention to detail
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Effective PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as experience in Salesforce is required
    • HTML experience is a plus. Previous experience working with customer databases within an events environment is a major plus
    • Travel is required – typically 10-12 times per year spread out across the country
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred - minimum two years’ experience
