The Account Development Representative role will be instrumental in helping us grow our client base.  In this role, you will be responsible for hunting new business and closing deals.  To succeed in this role, you must be a competitive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced work environment. 


  • Researching prospective clients to determine who may benefit from partnering with IDG, specifically targeting emerging technology companies with a strong focus on net new acquisition
  • Working with external business leaders to help them identify areas where IDG may be of value
  • Conducting cold calls, prospecting, and qualifying account opportunities
  • Develop a strong pipeline of new opportunities while also focusing on closing existing business opportunities
  • Territory & pipeline management including prospecting and activity, call reports, and forecasting
  • Clearly and articulately communicating information out to clients and internal colleagues to ensure a seamless, world class client experience


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-3 years of prior direct sales, account management, or business development experience
  • Prior outbound cold-calling experience
  • Proven negotiation experience and the ability to obtain agreement from multiple parties throughout the entire sale process
  • Ability to build, nurture, and maintain strong relationships internally and externally
  • The ideal candidate is high-energy, resourceful, creative, and coachable
  • Self-starter who can work independently while also knowing when and how to successfully collaborate with peers
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and top-notch time management skills
