Responsibilities

As the Agency Account Director, you’ll grow the spend of our customers via their media agencies.  You will be responsible for delivering high-quality proposals and proactively developing new business in order to achieve quarterly targets.  The successful applicant will be expected to work with their client counterparts to grow revenue share and deliver a world-class customer experience.  The successful candidate will also have a strong understanding of B2B and B2C marketing, the media space, the agency landscape, and will have the ability to find opportunities and confidently present to clients, offering highly focused and customized marketing solutions that drive tangible results.

 

As an Agency Account Director you will:

  • Identify, develop and close sales opportunities with your customer base
  • Develop, service, and prospect relationships with named agencies
  • Confidently present IDG's portfolio of custom solutions
  • Negotiate and be responsible for all contracts and execute creative ideas
  • Drive new business revenue generation
  • Gain market share with existing customers

Qualifications

  • BA/BS level degree or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of online sales experience, ideally in a technology environment working directly with agencies
  • Minimum of 3 years selling dedicated online solutions demonstrating a deep understanding of online media and trends
  • Expert-level understanding and fluency across demand generation, programmatic display and video, social, mobile, events, and content marketing services.
  • Strong and proven presentation, writing, critical thinking and negotiation skills
  • Ability to understand complex business marketing issues and how to leverage the IDG portfolio to achieve the client's objectives
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment, self-motivate, and add to the energy of a highly engaged team
  • Self-starter with good organizational and time management skills; able to work within tight deadlines
  • Strong presentation skills to senior level executives
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience with exceptional customer service and time management skills
