Overview

IDG is looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual to provide customer support for IDG’s conferences, seminars, and events. The Client Services Specialist works closely with the sales, conference content, operations, and marketing teams. This position oversees the fulfillment of corporate clients' sponsorship deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with client executives to provide top-notch service; serve as the sponsor's advocate within IDG
  • Manage website content
  • Strong negotiating, facilitation, influencing, and organization skills to bring issues to resolution
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks and projects in time-critical situations
  • Managing the internal team such as marketing, content and logistics, where and when applicable
  • Maintaining all communication with and for the clients and launching the event; management of deadlines and deliverables

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years business/client management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong phone/Zoom experience
  • Tenacious customer service orientation
  • Polished; experience working with high-level external customers
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe; some database experience
  • Some travel will be required in this position when in person events resume
  • Event and/or sales experience is a plus
