This Chief of Staff position will operate at strategic, operational, and tactical levels and work directly with the Senior Leadership team and Blackstone.  The person in this role will ensure that leadership is spending their time effectively to achieve the strategic objectives of the organization. 


IDG, Inc.'s Chief of Staff role will support our transformation process and help to craft the “Blueprint” development.  This includes planning meetings, creating key objectives, and a process to track and measure success.  The candidate will use their strong written and verbal communication skills to help manage the strategic planning process, OKRs, and create communications and presentations relating to company initiatives and strategies.


  • Manage the overall business calendar and governance of various senior level meetings; align the team around strategic objectives and core deliverables and ensure projects and deadlines are being adhered to
  • Responsible for strategic planning process and project management of strategic initiatives
  • Ensure time is efficiently spent and projects are prioritized appropriately to maximize business results.
  • Help to ensure the business leaders are carrying out the strategic objectives of the organization in day-to-day business discussions and in a way that is aligned to the company’s mission and culture
  • Keeps track of core deliverables and drives for efficient process
  • Set up and manage annual strategic planning process and All-Hands meetings
  • Partner with key executives on the development and tracking of OKRs
  • Provide strategic counsel to key leaders within the organization; assist in prompt decision making using a disciplined and process-oriented approach
  • Support the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and analysis including project management, facilitating discussions, research and analysis, effectively working with cross-functional partners to develop viable solutions
  • Assist with business reviews including research, analysis, presentation creation, proofreading/editing, following up with cross-functional team for input
  • Manage calendar meetings/schedules, prepare agendas, take notes, assign action items, and work on core communications


  • MBA or Master’s degree preferred
  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience (background in management consulting, digital transformation, or corporate strategy preferred)
  • Strong project management/reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks with concurrent deadlines
  • Strong ability to navigate through ambiguity and ability to constantly shift priorities to the most important task at hand, while seeing the big picture
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Must work independently and be personally motivated
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Strong knowledge of the business, finance, and analytics
  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
  • Must be able to work on US East Coast time zone, and willing to relocate to Boston/Needham after pandemic.
