IDG Communications is recruiting for an innovative and talented contract/freelance Content Strategist, to temporarely join the global custom content team. In alignment with our Media& Services structure and operations, we are bringing together our custom content teams from around the global under a cascading global – regional- local structure. The main objective of this structure is to improve and create consistency in the quality of the custom content we deliver to our clients worldwide.

For the Content Strategist this structure means being part of a global team and, have interaction with and access to, resources, knowledge and skills across the continents, creating transformational marketing programmes for the world’s largest technology companies. The role we are recruiting for covers Western Europe/ META.

In this role you will apply a mix of excellent editorial and content marketing expertise. You will provide strategic guidance at the earliest stages of client engagements, using data-driven insights from a variety of sources to align the content deliverables and brand messaging with our clients objectives.

The perfect candidate has an global mindset, journalistic curiosity, a broad international experience, attention to detail and excellent, innovative content marketing and brand messaging skills.


The Content Strategist will report to the global head of custome content.

  • Overseeing the production of various digital content types in our product portfolio, including white papers, blog posts, long-form articles, interactive infographics, social media content, advertising copy and videos.
  • Work with internal project management, data intelligence, social media marketing, research, event marketing, digital production and sales teams to ensure that all client needs are met throughout the planning, development and delivery process.
  • Managing strategy for, and production of content projects.
  • Seek out and on-board in-house and freelance experts and writers, managing their work.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities and respond to client briefs in collaboration with commercial teams.
