IDG Communications is recruiting for an innovative and talented Content Strategist to join the global custom content team. In alignment with our Media & Services structure and operations, we are bringing together our custom content teams from around the global under a cascading global/regional/local structure. The main objective of this structure is to improve and create consistency in the quality of the custom content we deliver to our clients worldwide.


For the Content Strategist, this structure means being part of a global team and interact with and access to resources, knowledge and skills across the continents, creating transformational marketing programmes for the world’s largest technology companies. The role we are recruiting for primarily covers Western Europe/ META.

In this role, you will apply a mix of editorial and content marketing expertise. You will provide strategic guidance at the earliest stages of client engagements, using data-driven insights from a variety of sources to align the content deliverables and brand messaging with our clients’ objectives.

The perfect candidate has a global mindset, journalistic curiosity, attention to detail and excellent, innovative content marketing and brand messaging skills as well as drive and enthusiasm. The Content Strategist will report to the Sr. Content Strategist in the UK.


  • Overseeing content strategy and production for client campaigns, including all aspects of ideation and content development.
  • Overseeing development of various digital content types in our product portfolio, including white papers, blog posts, long-form articles, interactive infographics, advertising copy and videos.
  • Managing the work of in-house experts, freelance writers and other contractors, including making project assignments and editing draft copy.
  • Working with internal project management, research, sales, and other teams to ensure that all client needs are met throughout the planning, development and delivery process.
  • Identifying and developing new opportunities and responding to client briefs in collaboration with commercial teams.

  • Adept at storytelling for a B2B technology audience
  • Data-driven and tech-savvy attitude
  • The ability and resilience to manage multiple campaigns and work to tight deadlines
  • Creative and innovative personality and approach
  • World-class presenter, for live events as well as videos, webcasts and podcasts, showing a passion for digital media
  • Strong organizational, project management and communication skills
  • Experience in managing internal and external stakeholders
  • Strategic focus with solid business knowledge and global business acumen
