Overview

IDG is seeking a strategic and innovative Vice President, Strategic Accounts to lead a team of Global Account Managers (GAM) to land and expand share of our wallet in our   most valuable accounts for IDC/Foundry. Use best practice knowledge and processes to develop and maintain a Global Account team that ensures collaboration and coordination with Solution Architecture, Consulting, Success Management, Support, Services, Marketing, Strategy & Operations, and other company stakeholders. The role will define and own account strategy, planning and execution across all Elevate accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer decision makers’ strategies, priorities, needs and organizational structure. Guide GAMs to develop effective and specific account plans and coordination across Account Based Marketing (ABM) teams to ensure revenue target delivery and balanced growth.
  • Develop and promote GAM processes and best practices to ensure global alignment, including the establishment of performance KPIs
  • Actively understand each account’s strategic growth plans, technology strategy and the competitive landscape. Review public information (e.g., new executive appointments, earnings statements, press releases) for the company and its competitors to remain updated on key industry trends and issues impacting the customer.
  • Lead the coordination of ABM and Strategy & Operations activities to develop a robust understanding of pipeline performance and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with GAMs to develop win strategies for active opportunities.
  • Develop and mentor GAMs through regular coaching sessions aimed at helping them identify growth opportunities within Elevate accounts and how to address customer priorities and hurdles.
  • Be proficient with a working knowledge and understanding across all Company products and solutions.
    Align multiple internal Company stakeholders to the strategic vision for execution within the Elevate accounts.
  • Build and expand relationships with key decision makers within Elevate accounts by establishing knowledge of customer requirements and dedication to value 

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, Master’s degree preferred
  •  15+ years’ experience with enterprise software sales for a high-growth company
  •  A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing global accounts
  •  Minimum of 2 years people management experience
  •  Ability to demonstrate thought leadership of search and advanced machine data analytics and become a trusted advisor to C-level executives•Experience selling to and influencing C-level executives at Global 2000 companies on seven-to-eight figure opportunities
  • Ability to develop and implement the strategy that drives customer partnership, revenue growth, and retention
  • Outstanding leadership and strong ability of working with and managing people across functions and geographies

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $300,000 and $400,000 and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
